I’ve always loved to discover and explore, and a camera is the perfect filter for beauty, imagination, perspective, and ideas. It makes me think. It puzzles me. It makes me look close and then opens my eyes.
Often when viewing a scene or place, I feel a mood that has some kind of significance to me. At times that mood or feeling can be more imaginative than real, so I portray that in my work as well. I try to convey ideas, thoughts, and feelings visually and hint at those ideas when I title an image.
I find the isolation in the viewfinder of a camera to be a key tool in expressing what I see and feel.
I’ve found my interest in the world not to be what I see, but what I don’t easily see… and I am always intrigued!
